Evatronix was established in 1991 in Bielsko-Biala as a value added reseller of CAD & EDA systems.
Its founders and present managers are Wlodzimierz Wrona and Wojciech Sakowski. They both graduated
in electronic engineering from Silesian University of Technology (SUT) in Gliwice, Poland, where
they also got their Ph.D. degrees (in 1990).
At the beginning of its activity, Evatronix focused on CAD/CAE/CAM systems and became an
Authorised Autodesk Reseller. In 1995 we extended our offer to EDA systems and exclusive representation
of Protel International (now Altium Ltd).
In 1992 and 1993 W. Sakowski worked at the Joseph Fourier University in Grenoble (France) within a
framework of the European CAD Integration Project (ESPRIT 2072). From 1995 to 1998 he managed an
EU-funded TEMPUS/PHARE project aimed at extension of curriculum with courses on modern electronic
design techniques at SUT.
The success of the above-mentioned TEMPUS/PHARE project made it available for students to graduate in
HDL-based digital design. After employing a few skilled MSEE's in 1997 Evatronix started the development of electronic
virtual components in Electronic Design Department. It was located in Gliwice to ensure continuous
access to a talent pool of engineers graduating from Silesian Technical University. This activity
grew dynamically over last few years and has recently been complemented with an extensive offer of
electronic design services.
