The basic controller in the Ethernet MAC family. It operates at 10/100 Mbps speeds and contains an integrated descriptor-based DMA. The IP core meets IEEE 802.3 CSMA/CD standard specification and offers full and half-duplex operation modes, advanced filtering features as well as a wide range of supported network interfaces.

Lite
The smallest product in the family. It shares the operation modes with the Ethernet MAC Controller, but since it implements only the crucial functionality, a considerable size reduction has been achieved. The component communicates with the host using a direct FIFO interface.

The most feature-rich controller in the family. It extends the Ethernet MAC\'s functionality by offering 1 Gigabit operation mode, MII PHY management, a full set of statistical counters as well as flow control support.

An area-optimized version of the Gigabit Ethernet MAC Controller. It reaches the same speed values of 10/100/1000 Mbps and communicates with the host using the direct FIFO interface. Implementation of essential Ethernet features only results in a significant decrease of the gate count.

PCS
The MAC-1G PCS is an IP core of a 1 Gigabit Physical Coding Sublayer (PCS) that meets all IEEE 802.3-2002 Standard requirements. The MAC-1G PCS provides both PCS interfaces - GMII and PMA. It also features the Management Interface (MGM) for communication with the Station Management (STA).
    
MAC-PCIA combination of the Ethernet Media Access Controller (MAC) and the 32-bit 33 MHz Master/Slave PCI Host Interface (PCI-M32) IP cores that is intended to simplify the Ethernet networking support development in PCI based systems and applications.
